Completion of National Health Insurance "Phase 2 WebFax System Improvement" Project

Hyunjin.com Co., Ltd. completed the "Phase 2 WebFax System Improvement Project" for the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) in November 2012.

As a follow-up to the 2011 WebFax System Enhancement Project, this improvement project was conducted to provide the best WebFax service, focusing on streamlining management operations, enhancing system performance, and improving fax processing methods.

With a project budget of 1.3 billion KRW, the improvement work included the establishment of database backup equipment, the implementation of dual network configurations, and the replacement of aging regional fax servers with new ones.

To optimize fax channel operations, existing outdated analog fax boards were replaced with digital fax boards, drastically improving fax success rates and transmission speeds while ensuring system stability. Following the project, fax-related complaints due to transmission failures or slow speeds decreased, enhancing the image of the NHIS. Furthermore, the ability to process fax tasks quickly resulted in increased operational efficiency.

In addition to hardware upgrades, user application improvements were made, including the development of a broadcasting editing tool for document modification. Various functions were also added based on user feedback regarding inconveniences since the 2011 enhancement, thereby increasing user convenience.
